Is everything made in Portugal?

Yes! Every item we sell is proudly made in Portugal.

How do I measure my bed?

To ensure the perfect fit:

• Bedspreads – Measure the width, length, and the drop you’d like on the sides.

• Fitted sheets & mattress protectors – Measure the width, length, and depth of your mattress.

How can I be sure I’m ordering the correct size?

If you’re unsure, just send us your bed’s measurements and we’ll double-check before you order.

Are your products machine washable?

Yes. All of our products fit in a standard washing machine.

Are your products pre-shrunk?

Yes, they are pre-shrunk. As with all cotton, a little shrinkage may occur after the first wash, so our products are made slightly larger to allow for this.

Do you stock extra-large bedspreads?

Yes. Our bedspreads range from 1.80m to 3.00m wide, with lengths of 2.60m or 2.70m depending on loom size.

Can you supply sizes not listed online?

Yes. Custom sizes are available on request with a minimum order of 10 per size.

How long does delivery take?

We process and ship within three working days of purchase. Delivery times depend on your location:

• Portugal & Spain – 2 to 3 business days

• Madeira – Up to 2 weeks (shipped by boat)

• Açores – Up to 3 weeks (shipped by boat)

• Europe – 7 to 10 business days

• International – 2 to 3 weeks

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes, we offer free delivery within Portugal and Spain. Please note that if items are returned for reasons other than damage, delivery costs as well as card and PayPal surchages, will be deducted from the refunded amount.

Do you deliver to the UK?

Yes. However, due to Brexit, customs checks can cause delays and additional charges. We are not responsible for customs delays or fees.

Do you deliver to the United States?

At this time, we are unable to ship to the United States due to recent tariff changes.

What if I don’t like my order? Can I exchange it?

Yes. Returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase. 

Please note:

• Item Condition: All returned items must be:

  • Unused and unlaundered.

  • In their original, undamaged packaging.

  • Accompanied by the original till receipt.

• Hygiene Exclusions: For health and safety reasons, the following items must remain sealed, unopened, and unused to be eligible for return: pillows, duvets, and mattress protectors.

Important Notes:

• Return Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, including for exchanges, unless the item received was damaged, defective, or incorrect.

• Original Delivery Costs: If you return an item for reasons other than damage or defect (e.g., change of mind), the original delivery costs will be deducted from your refund.

• Refunds:

  • For reasons other than damage or defected: Refunds will be issued via bank transfer (for euro accounts only) or as store credit. Please note that any applicable bank fees, postal charges, and any credit card or PayPal processing fees originally incurred by our business for the purchase, will also be deducted from the total amount refunded.

  • For damaged or defective items: a full refund including original delivery costs will be issued via bank transfer (for euro accounts only) or as store credit. 

• Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet the conditions outlined above. Items returned in a non-resalable condition may be returned to the customer at their expense.

How long do the sheets last?

Our sheets are built to last. With proper care, they’ll remain soft, strong, and beautiful for at least 12 years — even with regular washing.

Do you carry the same products each year?

Yes. Many of our designs have been in stock for over 20 years, sourced from the same trusted suppliers.

Can you make bedding for awkward-sized beds?

Yes. Please email us at information@bedspreadsportugal.com with your requirements.

Are the bedspreads Matelassé?

Yes. They are 400gsm Egyptian Cotton Matelassé, export quality.

Do you supply goose down pillows and duvets?

Yes. We buy directly from one of Portugal’s leading factories, with guaranteed toxin-free production.

How long have you been selling these products?

We started in 1991 with just bedspreads and have since expanded to offer everything you need in home textiles.
